Make! Animal Finger Puppets
Make a lion puppet out of scrap.

You will need:
Cereal box or sheet of card 2 circular shapes, like a mug and a jar lid, to draw around and form the head and the body of your lion Junk mail, old magazines, packaging card or scraps of coloured paper Felt pens and/or coloured pencils Pencil Scissors Glue stick

Step 1.
Draw around both circle shapes onto the card.

Step 2.
Cut out your circles.

Step 3.
Colour in the shapes. You can draw lines onto them to look like the lion’s fur.

Step 4.
Draw some small circles at the lower edge of the bigger circle - these are for your fingers to fit through. Cut out the circles. Ask an adult to help you with this.

Step 5.
Cut out two bigger red circles and two smaller white circles to form the lion’s eyes, then glue them onto the head. Draw you lion’s snout and other facial features.

Step 6.
Glue the head onto the body by overlapping the circles.

Step 7.
Cut out some coloured pieces of packaging card, old magazines or junk mail for the lion’s mane.

Step 8.
Glue on the coloured strips to create the mane of your lion puppet.
