Easter Craft: Chick headdress
Enjoy this Easter Craft: Chick headdress activity over the Easter Holidays.
Enjoy making this craft with children over the Easter Holidays.
You will need
Some tape or a stapler, A4 card or scrap card, ruler, pencils, glue stick and some decorating materials. We used tissue paper and coloured paper scraps.
Step 1.
Print out an Easter Chick template (at end of post) or draw your own chickens. You will need one larger picture to stick to the headband and two small ones to stick to bouncy strips.
Step 2.
Decorate your chick pictures in whatever way you wish. Then cut out the chicks along the dotted lines.
Step 3.
Make a headband from card. Wrap the headband round your child’s head so that it fits snugly with an overlap of around 3cm. Mark the overlap with a pencil.
Step 4.
Glue the larger chick picture in the centre of the strip. Add any further decoration such as flowers or grass using felt pens, coloured pencils or cut out paper.
Step 6.
Glue the two strips inside the headband, so that they will hang over the large headband when worn. Overlap the headband in line with your pencil mark and secure with sticky tape or staples.
