Dryad Metalworks

Set up in 1912 by Harry Peach and William Pick and producing metalwork in the Arts and Crafts tradition, Harry Peach was a friend of Benjamin Fletcher, the Headmaster of the Leicester School of Art. William Pick had been a pupil of Fletchers. The firm used many talented designers from the Leicester School of Art and I think they produced some lovely pieces.

Arts and Crafts bronze door handles by Collins & Co/Dryad Metal Works
There are door handles and then there are door handles.. these bronze handles were made by either Collins & Co or Dryad metal Works. William Pick started Collins and Co which became part of Dryad circa 1912. Pick was friends with designers such as Benjamin Fletcher and, my chief suspect for these handles, R J Emerson.
