19 c. A pair of knitted wool socks from Persia. The toe is claret, the main part is lemon yellow ground with blue/ black/ shades of red. The knee has a cream ground with black/ reds/ green. They are lined with knitted wool. There is a narrow edging of interwoven silk in pink and black with silk cored silver thread with a black tassel. NT 1349256.1 and 2.
