Gilliflower Pottery is my studio in Cornwall where I make a range of handmade stoneware pottery, including mugs, jugs, bowls and plates. The colours are muted and natural and the ceramic design reflect the Cornish countryside around me as well as the South African landscape of my youth. Gilliflower Pottery. handmade stoneware pottery
This elegant stoneware vase is hand decorated in the colours of the Cornish Spring. The neck is narrow to support delicate stems. There are a couple of sizes available, ranging from medium (approx 21cm high) to tall (approx 23.5cm tall).
These little stoneware espresso cups are perfect for a double (or single!) espresso, and fit snugly under the epsresso machine's nozzle. They are hand decorated using ferns from the garden, and glazed in a lovely iron rich creamy glaze. They are approximately 7cm tall, and 6cm wide.
This little stoneware cake plate is handmade by me in Cornwall, and decorated in muted blue and green tones. The outer edges are left unglazed to show off the natural beauty of the clay, and the inner surface is glazed in a creamy tin glaze to make eating off it a pleasure.

This elegant collection of handmade pottery includes cups, teabowls, ramenbowls and serving dishes.
These medium sized mugs are handmade in Cornwall, using local clay. The outer surface is lightly ridged, and glazed in a gorgeous flecked black glaze. The inside is glazed in a sand coloured glaze.
These stoneware teabowls are perfect for enjoying hot and cold drinks. They hold a generous 350ml and stand approximately 10cm tall. They are gently ridged and the light bounces beautifully off the gorgeous black glaze. They are reminiscant of the Japanese style of ceramics, despite being made here in Cornwall, and have a very modern feel.
