GIN This is magnificent gin. Yes, it's from France, but worry not. There is a delicate nose of fresh flowers, jasmine, honeysuckle and cinnamon. Then there is an explosion of herbaceousness, anise, grains of paradise and cinnamon. The juniper gives way to layers of flowery complexity and a refined finish. £32.99
VODKA This brilliant pure vodka from actor Dan Aykroyd, and is touted as being the 2nd best in the world after Kauffman Vodka. It is filtered five times, and on the fifth it is filtered through 500 million year old crystals known as Herkimer diamonds. This is what the original mystical 13 crystal heads found around the world were carved from. £49.99
This is exceptional Cognac, better than larger brands twice the price. This is a small producer where real passion and commitment rule the roost. It is clear, bronze amber with golden highlights. On the nose there is strong leather and dried fruit with layers of lavender. On the palate it is slightly honeyed with old leather and stewed fruit bursting forth. On the finish there is sweet lime zest, light cinnamon and graceful spice. Utterly superb and amazing value. £130.00
