August 23, 1939 - The Molotov - Ribbentrop Pact between Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union was signed. Officially the pact was a non-aggression treaty between the two nations, but in a secret clause, the baltic states, Poland, Finland and Romania were also devided between the two nations. The pact was named after the two foreign ministers who signed it. #history #WWII
