1970s scare: 'new Ice Age'

Various items, mostly from the 1970s, illustrating the scare about 'a new Ice Age'. Some pundits now airily claim it 'never happened', but I remember encountering it as a boy in children's science books, in broadcasts, and also in sci-fi. Here's abundant primary proof it happened, and was well reported. (And yes, I know there are Photoshop fakes designed to fool sceptics -- such as a TIME magazine cover. I've been very careful not to include such).
