Use matchsticks and playdough / modelling clay to make 3D cubes, prisms and pyramids.  Reinforce the language of shapes by referring to the match sticks as edges, the shapes created as faces and the playdough as the vertex (vertices as plural).  TIP:  Try not to handle playdough too much as the more it is warmed by the kids hands, the less rigid it is making the shapes "wobbly".
