Teeny tiny furoshiki and thinking ahead...
Historically I've been a bit "last minute dot com" with my gift buying and it sometimes means it's harder to make ethical purchases as they can require a longer lead time. I'm doing my best to give myself the extra time needed to shop with independent retailers and research how products are sourced and made. I also wanted to share how cute small sized gifts look wrapped in our mini furoshiki... I can't tell you what's inside as it's a surprise, vut we just used a basic box wrapping technique.
What are furoshiki?
Furoshiki are square pieces of cloth or fabric used for gift wrapping, transporting items, fashion, and home decor. The word refers both to the craft and to the cloth itself. As furoshiki are reusable, by using furoshiki for gift wrapping instead of paper and sticky tape you will be preventing additional paper waste and plastic tape going to landfill. You can either give your furoshiki as part of the gift, or retain it to use again. Furoshiki Wrap Company furoshiki are made in the UK

Teeny tiny furoshiki and thinking ahead... I've been surprisingly organised for me and brought my sister's present with us to my parent's house this weekend so she has it ahead of her birthday in August 😲 Historically I've been a bit "last minute dot com" with my gift buying and it sometimes means it's harder to make ethical purchases as they can require a longer lead time. I'm doing my best to give myself the extra time needed to shop with independent retailers and research how products are sourced and made before I make a purchase. I can't tell you what's inside this little furoshiki wrapped package or I'll spoil the birthday surprise... but I wanted to show you how cute small sized presents look in our mini furoshiki 😍 For this gift I just used the basic box wrapping technique.
