In 1925, Zane Grey commissioned three dories for a fishing expedition down the lower Rogue River. Grey loved the Oregon wilderness so much that he purchased land on the river’s banks, built a cabin, and wrote a book there, Rogue River Feud, published in 1929. Slide show of 13 photos.
