Chinese Moon Moth (Actias luna) Luna -- This rare moon moth is half Spanish and half Chinese. Luna Moths are huge moths, with a wingspan of four and a half inches. They have a white body, pinkish legs, and huge pale green wings. The hindwings have eyespots and long tails. They fly, only at night, in Spring and early Summer. Luna Moths were once very common, but are now considered an endangered species in some areas.

Swallowtails have the greatest diversity of shapes. As a group, the swallowtails have a remarkable diversity of shape compared with the other butterfly familes such as the Whites and Browns. It is the Far Eastern Tropics where they reach their greatest range of forms as this Polyeuctes Swallowtail demonstrates.

English Bumble Bee ~ I love this picture. Bees are actually pretty gentle, and almost like little flying fuzz balls...

White Tail Spider. There are more than 2,000 species of spider in New Zealand. Some spiders cast wind-born filaments thousands of feet into the sky with their eggs attached. The White Tail, shown here, (12 to 18 mm) is aggressive and will not usually back down even against us humans. Their bite is really nasty, and their venom is necrotising and can cause severe ulceration. I know, I have been bitten on my leg. I may upload a picture later but its not very nice!

Beautiful fluffy, white moth... I need to research the name for this particular species, with feather-like antennae... Unless someone can enlighten me before then...?

albino ladybug...It's not albino, it's just a different species of ladybug. c: (The red/orange are just the most well-known. But there are also yellow, white, pink, and even brown ones with white spots!)
