This vaulted ceiling caught my eye because of the intersection with another part of the ceiling that we cannot see. This vault is much simpler that what we would typically see in a cathedral or other popular area for vaults. This inspires me to try and use vaults in even the simplest of places to capture beautiful light and darkness intersections.
This red door from Belgium is a great example of how the right trim and accents can make a great door fantastic. This arsied panel door has wrought iron grills, but what takes it over the top is the masonry carving above and around the door. i like this photo from August Sander because it shows what it was like to work as a brick layer back in the early 20th century and this image shows you how serious the men were about their work back then.
