What Is an Adjective?

What adjectives are, how you can recognize most of them, where to put them in a sentence, and how to put them in the right order when you have more than one.

The term, an acronym for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, refers to a mental health condition that affects one in 100 children worldwide. It is characterised by recurrent, unwanted thoughts which lead to anxieties manifesting as repetitive behaviours.


I like this line, but I feel like it's missing an adjective, and for some reason 'pastel dust' is singing to me.

As I started to teach adjectives in my classroom, I felt like my students needed a visual to remind them of what an adjective is. This page not only does this, but also gives them examples of what an adjective could be. In our district, we have a poster machine where we can blow these up into posters.
