I would use this as an intro to the integrated math lessons planned for our unit where we have students calculate the difference in temperature using a thermometer, use tools to measure and record amounts of rainfall over a period of two weeks, and measure and compare the wind speeds of different days through the use of a wind vane.

This is a great worksheet that can be used for the students to compare and contrast weather patters that occur during given seasons. A teacher can also use this as a form of assessment. One can be given per season and students would circle whether the given weather is common during that season or not and what a normal temperature would be.

BEST site for teaching kids about all kinds of weather! (A real meteorologist has made this site complete with weather info, lesson plans, experiments, games, etc.)
