smart-gardener: homesteaddreams: I’m going vertical with my watermelon, squash, cantaloup, and cucumbers this year. I did it inadvertently with my watermelon two years ago - they climbed the garden fence when I was away for a week. It actually worked really well. Except the deer munched on the ones that grew on the outside of the fence. + + + There are so many plants that can be made to grow vertically! Another Great vertical pumpkin/squash growing method. Awesomeness!
