Vlad Dracul, Prince of Wallachia. Also known as Vlad the Impaler, He was the inspiration for Brahm Stoker's version of Dracula. He was a national hero in Romania for driving out the Turks but He was known to be cruel to his subjects. He impaled his victims on spears, and he lined their corpses on the wall of his huge dining hall.
