Build this simple finger joint jig in an afternoon and have time left to make a few boxes. I used two part epoxy to quickly bond the table saw runners and the joint spacer. Take your time lining up the spacer. You may need to do this step a couple times to get it right. I found I needed to make the pins a hair narrower in order to fit the slots.
This mini table saw is designed to be used with a Black and Decker Workmate style clamping table plus a Dremel with the Flex Shaft accessory. Although I have not had any issues with my setup I have to warn you to always be careful when using power tools.
This site sells the nylon/spandex materials that rash guards are made out of. The cheapest solids I saw were $12.00 a yard, and I think I'd need maybe three yards at least? (two white, one black, and that's assuming I could find a way to use every inch without waste, at a guess.) If a sewing pro want's to tell me better, I'd appreciate it. Also, I think I could find it cheaper in a walk-in store, maybe.
