Built-in banquet. We needed more room in our small dining room so bench seating made the most sense. My wife Janell learned how to tuft the upholstery and chose some really nice micro suede material for easy clean up. We used extra thick foam (high density foam at 3 inches) for a comfy seat and back rest. I built this center console for our VW Vanagon using scrap wood and fabric that my wife picked out. The center console is intended to hold my coffee, provide a step so one of my pups can see out the front window, and has a reversible top so we have an extra seat while we're out camping. I'm going to add built-in USB chargers as well but haven't quite finished the project yet.
