The most popular (and spectacular) of these dances was the Lindy Hop - a partnered dance that evolved out of the Charleston in the late 1920s, in Harlem New York. It is named after aviator Charles Lindbergh (1927 newspaper headlines read “Lindy Hops The Atlantic”). It is sometimes just called The Lindy, and some parts of the world knew it as The Jitterbug.

Oft times the term Heathen is used as an insult by Christians against people who don't worship their god. They tend to confuse Atheism, Paganism and Heathenism. Atheism is of course a lack of belief in any gods. Paganism is an umbrella term for many polytheistic non-Abrahamic religions. Whereas a Heathen is one who practices the pre-Christian religion of the ancient Germanic people. They worship the Germanic and Norse Gods and Goddesses.
