Ambassador Westmacott challenged NBC's Chuck Todd to a friendly table tennis match at the office. The match comes at just the right time, as we are currently celebrating the 1 year anniversary of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The UK is promoting the Olympic Legacy and the inspirational power of London 2012 in its effort to deliver lasting change in sport, promote healthier lifestyles, improve the lives of disabled people and invest in our communities.
London 2012 table tennis: Li Xiaoxia beats Ding Ning in final
Paralympic table tennis champion Natalia Partyka reached the last 32 of the Olympic women's singles event after a thrilling late-night victory. The 23-year-old from Poland, who was born without a right hand and forearm, beat Denmark's Mie Skov 4-3. Partyka is one of only two athletes, along with South Africa's Oscar Pistorius, who will compete at both the Olympics and Paralympics this year.
