I was just asked what to do about this situation at a disability law conference. I assured the questioner that being transgendered is not a disability and forcing a young person who knows she is a girl despite her sex organ to use the male bathroom could be traumatizing to her. This seems so simple to me. Why can't we just all be people about this?!
I know a lot of you are going to disagree with some of this, because of the way that LBTQ people (and others) are viewed by many members of the church. All I'm saying, is that I'm a sinner. They're a sinner. I'm no better than anyone else. So I'm gonna be a friend to you and I will stand by you no matter what your life looks like. ~Chey.
