#Tornado Warning and Alert App This free app from the #AmericanRedCross tracks a tornado as it approaches with step-by-step advice about what to do before the storm hits. A siren warning is built into the app and goes off when the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, #NOAA, issues a tornado warning in your area.
In Texas we have a saying about our weather – if you don’t like it, just wait a minute, and it’ll change. Download one of these five weather apps to keep your family safe and alert this storm season: NOAA Weather Alerts, NOAA Radar Cast Elite, Red Cross Tornado App, NOAA Weather Radio App, SkyMotion. #TexasFarmBureauInsurance
NOAA Now provides the latest information from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration including: hurricanes and tropical storms in the Atlantic and Pacific; mainland storms, including the latest tornado and severe thunderstorm alerts; worldwide animated satellite views; the latest marine conditions from the National Data Buoy Center; the nationwide ultraviolet index. All data is courtesy of NOAA and NASA.
The Red Cross Tornado app is a helpful tool that lets you monitor any number of locations for warnings and alerts. It can cause your phone to emit an alarm sound when you are in an area with a tornado warning (remember, WARNING means that a tornado may be imminent and you must seek shelter immediately).
