SANTA FE - Congress annoyed many people when it held hearings in 2005 to investigate steroid use by big-league baseball players. Honesty and candor were missing in most testimony from players, but baseball seems cleaner since the federal inquiry exposed muscle-bound sluggers as cheats. Now U.S. Sen. Tom Udall wants Congress to be even more aggressive in trying to stamp out performance-enhancing drugs in horseracing.
Reform the Filibuster! To the U.S. Senate: " It is time, at long last, to fix the filibuster. If Senators want to block a bill with endless “debate,” they should be required to stand on the floor and make their case to the American people with a real, talking filibuster! I strongly urge the Senate to pass meaningful filibuster reform as its first order of business when the new Congress begins." Sign the petition at ReformtheFilibuster.com
