Brigid Collins: "Yield" A one-off Artist's Book, incorporating a found 'book' form, lens tissue, sandpaper, leaves, typewritten text, silver leaf, linen thread and text from the "Tao Te Ching" by Lao Tsu (translated by Gia- Fu Feng and Jane English). (Vintage edition).
A reoccuring motif in the novel is falling. Whether it be a fear of falling or actually falling. Both Angel and Meme fall for a great height, which greatly injures them. Marin is waiting for a falling star and Esperanza describes herself as floating with a red balloon tether. She hopes that she will float away and not fall like Angel and Meme.
