James and the Giant Peach storyline wall display from my classroom. Creating it was great fun and the children enjoyed watching it evolve as the story developed. Arriving in the morning to find their seagulls hanging from the roof was a particular highlight.
James and the Giant Peach Word Search:A word search puzzle based on the story James and the Giant Peach by Roald Dahl. This would make a great handout to early finishers or something fun for the kids to take home. Puzzlers must look in every direction to find the 19 words, including backwards and diagonally.
This week in Art To Go: Yarn Peaches!! After reading James and the Giant Peach and viewing images of this delicious fruit in the museum collection, 3rd graders created hollow sculptures using balloons and glue covered yarn. We had a blast with this but it is NOT as easy as it looks. (Sometimes the peach completely deflated when you popped the balloon.)
