The Carol of Lights is an event, held the first Friday in December, to celebrate the holiday season. The event begins with a carillon concert, from the bells located in the Administration Building followed a torch-light processional by the spirit organizations. The combined choirs lead the crowd in singing carols. Next, the lighting ceremony, where buildings are illuminated with over 25,000 lights that remain on until the first week after the holiday break.
