Need help becoming a certified teacher in Texas? The TExES tests are criterion-referenced examinations designed to measure a candidate's knowledge in relation to an established criterion rather than to the performance of other candidates. All of the tests in the TExES program contain multiple-choice questions. Some tests also have additional types of questions (e.g., open-ended written or oral responses). #texes

This get to know you activity is a little in depth, but I think it's an awesome way for your students to get to know you. It's a book all about the teacher's life. The teacher can include grade school, college, favorite books, etc. I think it'd be cute to add a page from the grade they are teaching too so that the students can relate and realize that they were once a kid too. The students could also make their own (less in depth) version of an "all about me" book too. -Chelsea Langenbach
