National Trust Gardens: Petworth Park in Sussex, England. Home to a woodland Pleasure Ground and acres of Capability Brown landscaped deer park. Walking through Petworth Park the landscape gives every impression of being totally natural. In reality, it could not be more unnatural. This landscape was entirely manmade. Brown swept away the formal parterres, orangery and orange garden, aloe garden and the giant rampart terraces on the site of the present Lawn Hill.
