In Zen Buddhism, an ensō (円,相 "circle"?) is a circle that is hand-drawn in one or two uninhibited brushstrokes to express a moment when the mind is free to let the body create. The ensō symbolizes absolute enlightenment, strength, elegance, the universe, and mu (the void). It is characterized by a minimalism born of Japanese aesthetics.
Dragonflies symbolize our ability to overcome times of hardship. They remind us to take time to reconnect with our own strength, courage, and happiness. I grew up loving dragonflies; when I learned what they symbolize, I appreciated them so much more, and want one incorporated in to flower sleeve.
