Regent Street

Regent Street, London is one of the West End’s major shopping streets; named after the Prince Regent (later George IV) and commonly associated with architect John Nash, whose street layout from 1825 survives today. Regent Street runs from the Regent’s residence at Calton House in St. James’s, through Piccadilly Circus, crosses Oxford Street at the busy Oxford Circus, and terminates at All Souls Church.

Historic York. England. Don't you just love the street name, "Little Shambles". Anyone out there know what happened there to merit it's name?

Burford, the tiny Oxfordshire town named as one of the Most Idyllic Places on the planet

Set on a steep hill leading down to the River Windrush, Burford has a fine collection of topsy turvy cottages, ancient stone townhouses and a host of tea rooms and antique shops. Burford gets pretty busy but its picture postcard streets are well worth it and if you wander off down the laneways you'll be transported back in time. There's an excellent garden centre on the outskirts and the lovely Cotswold Wildlife Park just down the road.

St. Ives, Cornwall. Must go to Cornwall, both sides of my family originate there. According to google maps there is an intersection where the streets which bear the names of my fathers last name and my mothers maiden name meet! Neither are common last names, Tregear & Spargo #hipmunkBL
