This is a really well thought out loft conversion project. We love the simple folded steel shading device around the dormer windows and how the architect has used matching roof tiles to seamlessly integrate the new addition with the existing roof. The stand-out feature of this design, however, is that window that folds up and over to become a skylight, bringing both a view of the trees beyond and the sky above into the bedroom space.
Rustic Kitchen Rough reclaimed timber, smooth concrete worktops and clean stainless-steel appliances combine to form an industrial kitchen with a rough, rustic edge — beautifully understated and incredibly chic.
Waterfall House - In 1935, architect Frank Lloyd Wright designed this incredible house (Fallingwater) that re-ignited his architectural career. It’s a home that presents an architecture conforming to nature.
Best Cabin/Summerhouse in Shed Of The Year: This quirky and industrial style cabin owned by Abigail Walker of Pangbourne in Berkshire has drawn influence from a Nissen hut. Combined with her love of vintage style and all things mid-century, this corrugated steel den is fully insulated and lined with an airy feel.
