Last bit of light on Stanage Edge looking right along the edge itself and concentrating on the blowback of water from the edge just above the trees. It always amazes me how the sky can still give such a lovely afterglow even though the sun has dipped below the horizon. A beautiful place to sit and just watch (or take photos on my case).

The landscape looks almost abandoned from this photograph, which was taken at Stanage Edge. The millstones pictured here - which could be mistaken for alien artefacts - date from the 19th and 20th century and have been left strewn across the ground. In the background, the vast moorland is barely seen underneath the mist
