This Confederate lined shell jacket has seven wood buttons, is butternut in color, and has an outside pocket on the left side and an inside pocket on the right side. The jacket belonged to George Jacob Mook, Company D, 4th Missouri Cavalry CSA. Mook, a resident of St. Louis County, joined the regiment in June 1863 at Bird’s Point, Arkansas.
