I had one of these when I was young and used it to take the ingredients to school for cookery lessons...problem was the dinner plates just wouldn't fit into it, come to think of it not much else would either.... plus, they were really awkward to carry once full! Still had to have one though!
Writing is a splinter you can’t get out from under your fingernail, all-consuming, an addiction. Writing is not a calling or an art, even a craft. It is a disease, an infirmity, the monkey on your back, the burden you bear up the mountainside like Christian in Pilgrim’s Progress. http://chloethurlow.com/2013/11/spare-time/
Remove a Splinter Under Your Splinter Under Your Fingernail If tweezers don't work, elmer's glue to the head of the splinter. Wait for it to soak into the wood & harden. carefully pull it straight out Ichthammol (drawing salve) placed upon the area in front of nail and put band aid on it. next day, when removing the bandaid hopefully the splinter will be close enough to the surface (smells like tar) soaking in ice cold water for 15-20 min will numb the area and soften the splinter
