In 1999 I saw a total solar eclipse with my family and our dog, from a hill behind the house where I grew up in Devon. It being the highest point for miles around there were lots of other people from the village on the hill (normally deserted) wearing protective glasses. Even a local farmers wife/ white witch doing some kind of spells. A very surreal day. This is not that eclipse but a nice image.
