The Sak Yant tattoo is an ancient and sacred tradition in Thailand and it is said to contain magic incantations that protect and benefit the wearer. Many people go to Thailand for a Sak Yant and come away with a simple bamboo tattoo from a shop or risk a dirty needle at one of the temples. I'm in Thailand and am heading to Bangkok next weekend. I've wanted a Sak Yant and a lotus since last year. I'm thinking of doing this Neck down my spine. Tattoo parlour I've spoken to said it'll have to be at least 10 inches for traditional bamboo inking. So I'm wondering if maybe I just get the top 5 columns with the lotus finishing it at the bottom or if I should start with the lotus and finish with the 5 columns.
