Riverwalk, San Antonio, Texas. When you think of San Antonio, two things automatically come to mind: the Alamo and the River Walk. The River Walk was conceived in 1929. Downtown had serious flood problems and Robert Hugman suggested that the city turn the San Antonio River into an asset rather than a hindrance. Hugman's brainchild has since become the essence of the city.

The San Antonio River Walk

The San Antonio Riverwalk at Christmas time. We don't light a Christmas tree in San Antoine, we light the River.

City gives nod to tradition but LEDs stay

San Antonio Riverwalk at Christmas. For YEARS my parents would drive me and my grandparents down to San Antonio for Thanksgiving so we could all watch the day-after-thanksgiving turn-on-the-lights parade. I cannot wait to take my family one day!

San Antonio Riverwalk...been here so many times, even have been here on St. Patricks day when they dye the water green. Fun place to be! :)
