Red Wing Pecos

In the early 1920s, as Red Wing Shoe Company’s reputation for quality footwear expanded, Red Wing looked to meet the needs of ranchers, oil men and plantation workers in the growing southwest United States. In 1953, Red Wing introduced a simple, minnesotan take on the popular western pull-on boot. The Pecos, named after a city in Texas and trademarked in 1959, quickly became a Red Wing icon. Two styles of Pecos are now available as part of the Heritage collection in North America.
