This beautiful little stone cottage [www.naturalhomes.org/leanach.htm] is Leanach Farmhouse in Culloden, Scotland. It has a rich history that included being used as a field hospital during the Battle of Culloden in 1746. Many centuries later the cottage now has a new red thatch made from heather. The cottage is loved and cared for by the National Trust using only natural materials.

Oh my word, I'm in love. This is beautiful. I love the room with all the windows overlooking the water. I imagine myself cuddled up with a good book and a cup of coffee each morning, tea at night....
