At first I thought this was a doorway. Wouldn't it be cool to have an dimly lit room with a floor that's got six inches of water on it? Then you could have fake trees like those in this picture placed randomly in the water, and on one side of the room, have a circular doorway leading into a blue room like the moon. It's like a magical hideaway... inside your house.
The moon passed between Nasa's Deep Space Climate Observatory and the Earth, allowing the satellite to capture this rare image of the moon's far side in full sunlight. We normally don't see this side of the moon. As the moon is tidally locked to the earth and doesn't rotate, we only ever see the one face from the earth. Awesome shot!
