Stapelia gigantea - My father-in-law introduced me to this plant. I finally find one recently. He called it a "dead horse cactus". Other names I've hear it called are "toad cactus", "star cactus". The beautiful blossom smells really bad and has red veins running through it. Don't let the plant be splashed by cold rain. It will made it look like it has some kind of disease with large black spots. It just doesn't like cold water.
The Hawaiian palm (Brighamia insignis) es a very unusual and decorative house plant. New leaves form in the crown and the older, lowermost leaves turn yellow and wither. Very few of these plants still remain in their natural habitat in Hawaii. The IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature) is working together with scientists and volunteers, on a survival plan. For every plant sold, a sum is donated to the IUCN. Height supplied 25-30 cm.
Indian-pipe, one-flower Indian-pipe. Notice this plant has no chlorophyll (green pigment), this means that it cant photosynthesis by itself which means it is a parasitic flower that hacks into the roots of other plants to get its sugars.
