Well put by another: This picture sums up a lot of what we were talking about in class today. Funny with Columbus day having been a week ago, the whole holiday is pretty ridiculous. Read somewhere that especially Italian-Americans see Columbus day as a celebration of their heritage, say what?? Celebrating a day when a person found a land that was never lost!

The organisation’s message spread from campuses to the general community, and in 1972 Biko helped found the Black People’s Convention. This is an example of segregation in this era. The whites were seen much more superior than the blacks therefore jim crow created separate public spaces for the blacks and the whites.


I know this doesn't normally go with this board but that point is ducking important and we all know whether you want to accept it or not that there is an inequality between genders and that is women aren't trying to get above you, we're trying to be equal.
