Inside Britain's most incredible libraries

One of the oldest libraries at the heart of Oxford's historic University is Duke Humfrey's Library in the Bodleian, which held the primary function as a reading room for maps, music and pre-1641 rare books until 2015


The largest remaining estate of the post war âprefabâ temporary homes. Cities all over Britain used to be covered with these cleverly designed little buildings which were quickly built to replace homes destroyed by wartime bombing. At the time they were quite luxurious compared to most pre-war and Victorian homes many residents are still happy living in them today even though they were only designed to last a decade.
