Point Break movie "Right around that corner, there is a sandwich shop. They sell meatball sandwiches. Best I've ever tasted. Would you go get me two? Come on partner. Two. Thank you... Utah, get me TWO!"
There really are no words to describe my love and appreciation of this film. From the first moment when the surf crashed toward me... all the way to the end as Keanu Reeves tosses his badge into the ocean and walks away... this film grabbed me and has never let go.
The new Point Break. As a lover of the original, should I have watched this? No. The new Utah is an almost solid slab of American jock blandness, his performance defined solely by his array of tattoos. Upgraded Bohdi is OK actually, although his motivations are pretty thin. A couple of the extreme sequences are pretty great. Unusually, Ray Winstone is terrible in this. In general, even if it wasn't a remake of much loved (albeit ludicrous) action movie, it doesn't quite add up.
