Na sequência do ataque a Pear Harbor na manhã de 7 de dezembro de 1941, os Estados Unidos acabariam por entrar na Segunda Guerra Mundial, declarando guerra ao Japão. Generaliza-se também a Guerra do Pacifico, conflito que durou quase 8 anos e que envolveu inúmeros países.

Na sequência do ataque a Pear Harbor na manhã de 7 de dezembro de 1941, os Estados Unidos acabariam por entrar na Segunda Guerra Mundial, declarando guerra ao Japão. Generaliza-se também a Guerra do Pacifico, conflito que durou quase 8 anos e que envolveu inúmeros países.

Jim Carter, 93 years old, could be one of the last surviving veterans of the Pear Harbor attack by the Japanese in 1941. He was working in a dispensary on Ford Island and was on cooking duty when "...the planes came down and attacked the battleships."
