Macbeth suffers from paranoid schizophrenia. Symptoms of the mental illness include hallucinations, delusions, anxiety, violence, and condescending manner. All of those symptoms are evident in the character, Macbeth. Macbeth sees everyone as a threat and he is willing to do anything to remove that threat in order to get what he wants. With the a deadly combination of hallucinations, anxiety, and anger he is persuaded to do to unthinkable,violent things in with fatal consequences.
