Pando (Latin for "I spread") is also known as The Trembling Giant, is a clonal colony of one male quaking aspen (Populus tremuloides) in Utah. Determined to be a single living organism & the oldest one living - with one massive underground root system (covering 106 acres) & 40,000 stems (trunks) that look like individual trees.
