This is a rare bag from the western part of the island of New Guinea, now under control of Indonesia, and generally referred to as Papua. The piece is made of boars’ tusks and fibre, including orchid fibre (yellow). The cassowary bone which is prominent at the front and sticks out at the bottom must have a special meaning which even despite research carried out seems to be unknown today. (Joost Daalder)
The naked man orchid or Naked fairy orchid, scientific name Orchis italica its a purple flower that blooms in groups, means instead of blooming seperately all the flowers together make a group that looks like a bigger flower, like marigold and the flowers perfectly resemble a human shape with black eyes, two legs and hands, their other two petals look like wings or ears of that human shape.... don't this two flowers look like two fairies?
