Constantius MS 357 yılında dikilitaşı tahtta bulunuşunun 20. yılı onuruna Nil ırmağı üzerinden İskenderiye şehrine getirtti. Daha sonra, MS 390 yılında imparator I. The Obelisk of Theodosius I - Istanbul, Turkey. The oldest monument in Istanbul (Constantinople) is the obelisk in the Hippodrome, which was erected by emperor Theodosius I in 390 AD, but is actually much, much older. It was originally made for Tutmoses III, who ruled Egypt from 1479 to 1425 BC. The pink granite stone was almost 2,000 years old when it was moved from the Temple of Karnak, Luxor, Egypt to the center of the Hippodrome, between Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. by Pat L.314
